It's so easy to forget the day to day stuff that makes us smile about the little ones. Hopefully, this paperless documentation will still be around when the kids get old enough to appreciate the sentiments.

Choo choo at grandma's
This weekend when we went to the beach house, HH said to me, "mommy, when you go run errands, I'm going to watch Choo Choo (his Thomas video)."
The price we pay for babysitting.
Protective older brother
last week, it was another day i was alone in the evening trying to get dinner together. the boys this time wanted to play outside, even though i was inside. they also, of course, insisted on taking off all of their clothes (but diapers and underwear i convince them to keep on). they were playing and running around, and then a fly was buzzing around Max. He hates this and started yelling "BEE BEE!" HH ran over, and put his arms around MM from behind. by the time i got there (i know BEE BEE is a little MM alarm) the two of the them were looking at me, almost naked, spooned, MM eased and protected...
and of course, i almost cried.
but the other amazing other parts about this story are 1) HH being protective, instead of stealing toys away, and 2) MM letting HH protect him, instead of hitting him for trying to give him hugs. in a time of crisis, they will act appropriately, hopefully.
